i have a Mcusta gentleman's knife in african ebony wood and damascus over vg-10 for the blade. Id always heard that VG-10 is one of the harder steels to sharpen without diamond sharpeners and thats not been the case at all. i brought the edge back to razor sharpness with a small river stone that ive used for years as a backup stone thats always in my pocket.
What are some of your experiences with VG-10 as far as ease of sharpening and edge retention? Also what are your experiences with your own Mcusta knife? Like them or dislike? What do you like about them or dislike about them?
edit: ironically i was writing this thread at the same time as the other mcusta vg-10 thread...
