Is one of these worth more because it's in ATS-34 Steel?

What is a fair value?

ATS-34 was a common steel back then. I have one like yours on the right but mine does not have the blade coating. I am curious what a fair value would be as well.

If I'm not mistaken, the ATS-34 710 originally sold for $110, with the usual premium ($10?) for a coated blade. I do not recall that serrations cost extra.

Personally, I would not count on ATS-34 increasing value. Like has been said, ATS-34 was their standard steel of the day, so most of the 710s were in ATS-34. It also is, IMO, the worst steel that Benchmade ever used. But that's a personal problem of mine. Your best option is to find someone who really wants a 710, since they are nearly impossible to find now, at least on-line. The last I saw of a new 710 was the Knifeworks limited editions. IIRC, they finally dropped the price of those down to something like $169, and that was with M390 blades, and fancy G10. If your specimen is unused/pristine/has the box, you might get a collector to spring for it upwards of $150. If listing it somewhere, i'd list at $200, expecting it to go for less. But that gives you room to reduce.

If it is unused, I personally wouldn't let it go for less than $120, as unless you got an incredible deal, you'd be losing money.

Hope this helps. Also, I'm not good at speculating. Just lending my opinion, and what I know of 710s.
