This kit was lots of fun.

My 13yo daughter helped her little brother with the painting . (she is quite the knifesgirl herself)

Now the lock and spring are installed :) (gold was requested from the little 3yo sister, but she didn't want to be in the pictures lol) I think looks good!

And now Blaise has his first self made kit, he been "cutting" all around lol My wife told him to be careful playing with his knife. He told her he would be careful but added he wasn't playing, he was working!

This was alot of fun, and interesting to learn the basics of knife design and function. My 13yo commented on how few parts made the dragonfly. I would recommend these kits to any knife nuts with kids around. I'm going to see what others they offer. Thanks for looking!

Nice job!
I should start carrying one of those. I wouldn't need so many Band-Aids. ;)

My kids got those from Santa this year. The back lock doesn't really work that well on theirs (blade can be moved without depressing the lock), but the kids like them anyway.

My son got one for Christmas this year. It was fun to build it together and he even managed to cut up some cardboard when I wasn't looking. Not sure how he did it, but in the process he also managed to break a small piece off of the lock. It still works but has a lot of up and down play. :D I can't remember where I ordered it from but the cost was under $7.

Yes, the lock worked impressively well for an hour. Lol still has a sort of slip joint feel to it.. Kind of clicks in place . The value in this kit is the experience more than the finished "knife".
