went to the NRA convention in Pittsburgh today. and guess who was there, will fennel. told him we had spoken before and he gave me a "who is this guy" look, i then told him it was on blade forums. he then knew he had to show me the new toys at the cammilus booth. i got to seen the new us army bayonette prototype, wow, what a tool, had built in wire cutters in the sheath that could be used right while in the sheath or taken out and used for longer time periods. a diamond rod attached to the side of the sheath, sheath covered in a rubber material to cut down sound and was loaded with a spring to keep the bayonette from rattling. the blade was pretty formidable looking and was reported to be able to puncture a 55 gal drum, ak 47 mags etc without difficulty from the looks of it, no doubt it is capable.
saw a new pocket knife, assisted opening was way cool, had to have it. bought it at will's urging (at least that is what i told my wife).
thanks will for the tour of camillus. you are as great a guy in person as on the forum. i still want a cuda max.
