Can anyone who has tried Mead tell me what it taste like or resembles in taste to? Also are there any brands in particular to try for a first time Mead drinker? Thanks in advance for your time.

All I know is that "Nectar of the Gods" mead is damn near the best thing I ever drank. Not sure if the fellow who makes it is still in Bend, OR, or if he moved back to Tennessee.

"Session" mead is different and isn't like real mead, so if you want real mead then don't get session mead.

Make your own. I just assessed my supply of "Touched by Odin" mead that a buddy and I made several years ago. I am one hard night with friends away from being empty. I have all the necessary stuff to make a 5 gallon batch, which will get done soon. When it happens right, as it did with that batch.... it is HEAVEN. No, VALHALLA.
 
What's it like when it hits the taste buds? Is it effervescent or like wine or?
