Just to give you an idea of where I'm coming from, I EDC a Delica 4. I also have Caly4, Sage1, LH Mili, Para, Manix2 and so on.
I received a Meadowlark 2 today and I'm quite impressed with it. I already had a Meadowlark but I have to say the changes and improvements made to this model are all positive in my opinion.
FFG blade is a nice touch. The comet hole is a little smaller. The texture on the handle is nice and grippy but not abrasive. Because the Byrd logo a large flat spot on the handle where the clip meets, it's a lot smoother going in and out of a pocket than the original. I like the looks of the blade better also. It is a little different. More Spyderco like actually.
I think this new version is a winner. Especially considering the price is still low for such a quality piece.
While I generally carry a Spyderco and a higher dollar knife, I really appreciate that Sal and Co. is offering such a value and quality tool at a price point more non-knife people would consider buying.
Thanks.
