Mean Street

We'll need a bit more information (or a pic) before any value can be given.

Is it a ....
Mean Street or Meaner Street (or a lean version)?
If it is the original, are the handles smooth or quilted?
If smooth, are the fasteners slotted or smooth?
Is there coating, smooth or crinkle?

If it is the second generation, then coating and handle combo?

Of course, it might just be a cheap copy and I'd be willing to give you $20 to take it off your hands. ;)

they're usually worth about $60 in mint condition. if it's been used, it's worth maybe a third as much.

Pay these Yahoos no mind. For a newcomer, the Busse forum sense of "humor" may be an aquired taste.
I recently sold a mint muddy meaner for $219, if thats any help. You may want to go though the Busse sale subforum to look at prices for different variations.

Actually, except for the last sentence, these are all pertinent questions to clarify which blade you are talking about.

There were two "generations" of the Mean Street family put into production.

the first was the "Mean Street" version, which had numerous evolutionary changes to steel, scales, fastners, etc.

The next was the "Meaner Street", which had a more rounded handle, and is more commonly seen on the sale forums.

Hope this helps.

Highlander182,

Welcome to BladeForums, and especially to the Busse forum! I agree with what thatmguy said. The older Mean Street (or the Lean version) will be worth quite a bit more than the newer "Meaner" versions, and of course one in mint condition will be worth more (I would guess easily $500 for a mint one, and even more depending on the exact model variation). If you cannot post a picture, there are some nice photos and descriptions of the older MS version and the different variations at http://www.badmojo.tv (scroll down to "Mean Street" in the "Past Line" section).
