All my INFI has been put on notice that silly flanges, and unnecessary sharp points that poke my ribs will be subject to immediate termination via Norton Grinder belt.

1st Victim... Meaner...

As a huge fan of the AD and Meaner I must say WOW!!!

I like the AD handle better, but like the Meaner Blade the best...so yeah, I love it:thumbup:

Yeah, I agree. I used to like the Meaners more, but the AD handle rules.

Only exception are the Saber Ground ADs. Handle is perfect, and the blade oh so killer...

I'm with you guys. The meaner blade is perfect sized for whitetail and other game.

I cleaned some deer with it last season and it did very well. I just got damned tired of that silly 'flange' on the end of the handle poking me in the ribs every time I got in/out of the truck/deer blind. It really gets in the way, and has no purpose... so... it had to go! :D

I have that same machine, is it not the best thing ever. I have grinding on everything I can get my hands on.

That belt sander looks great... I got to get one of those! :D :D

I always look at Busse knifes as something that won't be happening in a while... so I am not familiar with all the models. It would be great to see a picture of that knife BEFORE so we can compare and check what you just removed.

Anyway, it looks like a great job there. Congrats!

Is that a Delta SA180 belt sander with a disc on the other side? Looks nice, and it can be had for cheap at amazon.com, only $130!

You can also get these at lowes. I got mine for about that price in the store. MIne also has the disc grinder on the side. Belts can be found at LEEVALLEY.COM . They have a great selection of belts to chose from including leather stroping belts.

nice work, nice meaner. I must say I admire you guys. I have to work up my nerve to sharpen my favorite Busses. YOu guys grind away. Very cool

Even cheaper at homedepot.com! I paid $100... free shipping. I got the Norton belts from Supergrit abrasives for $1.65-$2.00 a piece. They work great.

My BATAC just sh*t its pants... now the safe stinks...;)

Hey! You did a great job on this one!

I did something similar with mine (I enlarged the choil too); it is the perfect EDC for me now (well...I might strip the coating eventually):
