My first piece of Infi was a Meaner I bought from Lunde several years ago, since then its been my favorite style. A hog was kind enough to re-ply to a WTB ad I have there for this beauty. This particular style has been on my list for some time. Although its not an original meaner I wasnt going to say no. Meaner/Leaner afficionados can tell by the size of the holes. I would say this one, in thickness, is between a leaner and meaner. Thanks again to the Hog who didnt have to let this one go but did.

It's my favourite style of Busse too, it's why I bought the Key Lardo in the most recent Ganzaaaaa. It's just so beautiful to me, and whoever I show it too (which is everyone who ever visits me at home, or people I think won't run away screaming - I EDC it too) always agree that it's beautiful, or at least impressive.

Looks like one of the .170 flat grinds. I only remember seeing black g-10 with DC in a .170, never seen a satin one like yours.

The 2007 SE(forgot to put in this pic) was the first .170 FFG I'm aware of.
Other than it and the DC/black g-10 most .170's were CS models.

Like you said the newer ones have the larger whole like the top 4 in pic.

I've seen all those but this new one you have and the satin and smooth snake in your pic.
I'm pretty sure there both .170, right? I assume those two came from a KC show???
 
I don't like this thread, I'm still looking for a limited edition meaner, it was my first busse :( Brings back old memories...
 
The satin bp I believe did come from a recent show and sure is close to .17 but cant be sure I dont have calipers. If your talking about the one on the bottom right I did buy it on the exchange here. I think its bama clay.

Oh yeah, now I notice its bama clay. I'm kinda glad it's not satin, because I was already wanting it:p

I also though that was g-10 on the new meaner....now that I know its BP I like it even more! Need it to go with my .150 and .220 satin/BP:D
That one must have came from one of the last two KC shows.
 
I love the Meaners! Just waiting now for a very special one to arrive...and I will post pics! :D

I am glad to hear that I had a hand in your addiction to excellent edged tools. :thumbup:

Speaking of Meaners, it seems that I currently own five of them. That makes me happy.

I'm down to two "Leaners", both 0.17" flat ground. One of the 2007 SE; and one in satin, but with black micarta scales.

Still hoping to stumble across one of the real Leaners, 0.14 - 0.15".
