Then a few years ago, Busse released the MiliGanzaa Meaner Street, which was sabre ground, but in-between thickness. Since then, there has been a variety of Show knives, many of which are flat ground, but 0.17" thick. So the un-official name of Tweener (Tweaner) was coined for these.
I would say first find a cheap one on the exchange and see if you like the feel of it in your hand, I dont know why but some people dont like them. Yes people do prefer the thin ones. Heres a side shot of a couple.
.220 Jungle Meaner, Model T (in black ) , Sage 'Tweener' Meaner, Leaner Meaner Street. Notice the difference in the talon hole on the Tweener compared to the others. The Model T has a narrower handle, it balances a bit more blade heavy than the others.
The 4 on the left are from the original offering, the 5 on the right are more resent. The 2 on the far right are flat ground .170. Again notice the talon holes.
