We took these pics for Aldo last night, though we would share them here too..This is a 6" bar of 1045. these are the measurements we start with for a hawk head to end up like the one below. Measured, then marked off with a cold chisel. Then hot slit. NOTE: the bar is slit later to accept a higher carbon cutting bit when used.
