Has any one here forged a nest cleaver ?

I want to make one and need some specs to follow would any one be so kind to help me get started?

I will guess that the word "nest" is probably supposed to be "MEAT".

While most are stared with wider sheet stock, of course they can be forged. Even with sheet stock, some forging to attain the bevel taper saves a lot of grinding.

Best way to get specs on a knife you aren't familiar with is to look at good online photos that have dimensions. Even better is to examine one and trace it. Going to a local butcher shop, large restaurant, BBQ shop, etc. and talking to them will likely let you get a look at several sizes and types.
