What do you all think of this one?

That is called the Key. It is the method of deployment as well as the key to unlock and store the blade back in to the frame.

This is a variation of the "no spam" rules that we have. We know you found a great deal on a Ninja Death Tool 3000 - we don't care. If that dealer wants to advertise on BladeForums.com, encourage them to purchase a Dealer membership here instead of giving them free advertising.

(Of course, eBay isn't going to buy a Dealership here, neither is Amazon or other general sales points not appropriate for advertising.)

I'm kind of wondering what the intended purpose of the knife is? I can't see a circumstance where that actuation system would be anything short of a tremendous bother.

I was not trying to barter, sell or trade anything without a paid subscription. I posted this because I know nothing of the knife pictured and was hoping to find some information on it. That link is the only info I have on the knife. That's the only reason I posted it. To give a better description and picture.

I agree with you. The intended purpose is to have the "key" conceded to a belt then quickly pull the frame from the "key" for deployment. I am guessing the though was to worry about securing the blade with the "key" after you had utilized it for what ever purpose.

I gave no infraction or formal warning. I just moved the posts off line and posted in the thread.
Just follow the first line of my earlier post and all is goodness.

Ok. I was trying to pm you. Thanks for letting me know. It won't happen again.

so you have to pull the blade out with a separate key is that what I'm understanding? Because that would be a huge pain in the rear.

I bought one years ago and couldn't trade it off fast enough. It was a Blade Magazine award winner for the year it was introduced. An interesting design but impractical for defense, and damn near impossible to resheath/close without complications. Kershaw later licensed this lousy design for the Ripcord.

Yea. I have never carried it for the same reasons mentioned. It is an interesting piece for sure.
