Med-large fixed blades

I have a gap in my users- I have EDC, small, and medium fixed blade. I am missing a knife in the medium to large blade in the 5-7" (blade) range. OL length isn't much of a factor. It will be used for random tasks..... Camping/outdoor stuff. I'd like to keep my budget around $100

Here is a list of knives I am considering. I know the list is all over the map.

If you have an opinion good or bad please feel free to talk me into or out of one of these.

BK9 would fit your 'large knife' gap. Because of the exceptional balance it can handle both heavy work and fine 'large knife' chores.

I saw a Scrapyard 501 for under 100 on tne exchange the other day. If you can find one I would recommend a user Ratmandeux.

The ESEE 6 is a great choice,and they come up often enough to get one for a good price. If your willing to spend a few dollars more, consider the Bark River Bravo 1.5. You can't go wrong with a Bravo, and I find them more versatile in ability then the big heavy bladed choppers.

You have a pretty comprehensive list, but you might want to add a Condor Crotalus to your list. Relatively inexpensive, reasonably good quality, and from most reviews i've seen or read, good bang for the buck. I don't personally own one, so no hands on experience, sorry mate.

my favorite (and most used) of the Becker lineup is the BK-10.

For camping/outdoors I'd would choose the BK9.

A cheap alternative would be a Kershaw camp 10.

When not around camp but out in the woods I would choose something smaller, easier to carry. Esee 6, BK10, SP47, etc.

I have the BK9 and although I haven't much use for it, it is an impressive knife and I am quite smitten with it. I can only imagine the BK7 is just as good and closer to the size range you are looking for.
