I have sold about $300 worth of knives in order to buy something I've wanted for a long time.

I was going to buy two Karambits that are $220 and $90

But then I realized I'm only $250 away from buying something I never thought I'd be able to afford,
A Medford TFK..

Should I buy my two Karambits or the more expensive karambit that I never thought I'd be able to buy?

What would you do?

Any one have any experience with Medford knives?

Thanks!

I train with Karambits everyday. Get the one that you will enjoy the most and is the most comfortable.

Thats a tuff call....I've been checking out Medford knives and I'd love to just have one...Id like to say i would wait and buy the Medford BUT i know how hard that is when you have money to buy something now!!!! Try to hold off for now see how that works out...Good Luck

Go for the Emerson Karambit, it has the wave and unless it's going to be a safe queen 'Medford'. The emerson is a great karambit for practical use as well as in the off chance you do need to use it which ends up in the knife being confiscated you're only out 200$ instead of 550$.

I never thought about that! I'm not stupid I wouldn't fight to the death unless I was protecting something that would land me in prison if I had the terrible luck of my case not being found as self defense but I never thought that if I did use a knife in SD and the court did find it to be SD and I was lucky enough to walk that I'd be without that knife.

How long would it be kept? Forever?

Great point by the way..

Way to much for what it is IMO. I would get the Emerson and be done with it. Plus, the Medford karambit looks like it has more of a curved shape and I personally prefer one that is less curve.

The question you need to ask yourself is "Will I regret not getting this knife?" Because It seems that you had your heart set on a particular blade and then the opportunity came up to get something more "chic" and now you can't decide. Ask yourself that question honestly regarding both possible purchases and the answer should come to you.
