Medford Praetorian maintenance

I recently picked up a Medford Praetorian T. Im fully aware disassembly voids the warranty on the knife but I'm looking to see if anyone has for maintenance purposes. I cut everything with my knives, meat, fruit, veggies, etc. I carry in my pants pocket underneath my firefighting gear and I've had knives rust due to the sweat. Being that this model is in D2, I want to make sure the pivot area is rust/gunk free. Has anyone found a tool or a method of disassembly to thoroughly maintain and clean this knife? I've scoured google but nothing worth while comes up.

I've looked also. The only thing I come up with is the multi tool from Medford for $120. Seems silly to have a wait 34-38 weeks just for a tool. I've thought about modifying a flat head screwdriver to fit (Greg's pivot tool is a screwdriver looking thing with two prongs to fit his pivots). Any help would be appreciated!

Looks like what you need is a "Spanner" wrench or tool. I don't own any Medford knives, but the screw can be easily removed with the tool mentioned. They can be found on websites that sell after market cycling tools and parts. You can get a tool that will work for about $4-8. Not sure what is up with the $120 price tag, but it seems that everything from that manufacturer is high dollar. Good luck.

Did some more looking -

Looks like they are considered "snake eye" tamper proof screws

According to this chart:

And my at home measurements on my Praetorian, it looks like a "TH8" is needed.

Google search "th8 bit" or "th8 screwdriver" and they pop up!

Thanks PG, that looks like just what I need. I wish the warranty wasn't voided by disassembly, but they don't warranty against rust either so I'm stuck either way.
