Medford Praetorian T (but could be any variety) Uncomfortable Lockbar Grip?

Hi,

So I googled quite a bit about this and I was really surprised to find ZERO mentions of how uncomfortable the lock is on your index finger. Well, after spending an hour googling and finding nothing, I was starting to think I'm just holding the damn thing wrong, and maybe all knives in general?

Yeah so I just got a Praetorian T in the mail, and while it looks beautiful, gawd… that lock! It's nearly 2/3cm taller than the frame on the opposing side! And to make matters worse, they actually cut a little ledge into it, making the skinniest portion ~1mm or so thick. So, I just can't find a way to wrap my hand around the handle without that thing basically cutting into my index finger.

Like am I the only one that feels this knife is painful to hold? Is there a specific way to hold this thing?

Thanks!

Iirc the knife was designed to accommodate a gloved hand. To be used by people wearing tactical gloves.
