My dealer got his first order in from Medford and I've had a chance to spend time with many of the knives including the Praetorian and the TFF-4.
I wanted a Praetorian from the first moment I saw one and then wanted the Emperor even more once I realized that blade shape was available in a fixed blade. The reality of the knives just didn't work for me. The Praetorian is VERY cool but it's HUUUUGE! I could never see myself carrying the knife. No way. I loved the Emperor but the grip was just a bit too small for me to feel comfortable. Fortunately my dealer had 20 knives come in so there was plenty to choose from.
To your question, the 4 folders that came in (TFF-1, TFF-4, Praetorian and Panzer) were all built to a level that I've rarely seen. Fit and finish are incredible with solid lockup and zero blade play in any direction. Crazy overbuilt seems to be the motto at Medford. I've never come across a more solidly built folder. If you want a knife to carry and use, the TFF-4 is a great knife. It's still big but it's definitely something I'd carry. I ended up opting for the Panzer because I fell in love with it's design, but I'd have really been happy with the TFF-4 too.
Medford is making fantastic knives. Pricey but they've quickly become my new favorite.
