Hello! Anyone notice that Medfords seem to be unusually highly prone to rust with their S35VN? Out of the dozens of knives I've owned in S35VN, only my Medford has rusted, and under the same storage/usage conditions as the rest. It's fixable with some steel wool or some rust remover, but it feels unusual, and it's sad to see a polished stainless blade marred with spots/blemishes. Which leads to the real question, does anyone know where to get tools for the current-gen 6-hole Medford pivots? I know Greg doesn't like people taking apart his knives, but if a knife is highly rust-prone I feel like I need to service it and at the very least coat the whole blade in some EDCI.

You may be able to take the pivot apart with the right spanner bits. You can get those at most places that sell drill bits

I gotta level with you man, they also use a lot of D2 and there is precedence for large-scale manufacturers accidentally using the wrong steel for a batch. Pete from Cedric and Ada had this occur with a blade from Bark River which was, I believe, supposed to be CPM 154 but turned out to be A2. I have never even seen rust on S35VN given normal use. I used to have ~50ish blades from S35VN and never saw any rust on any of them. Hell, I'm up in the dry prairies of Canada, so I barely have to concern myself even with full-on carbon steel, but nevertheless, rust on my S35VN from a manufacturer that also uses carbon-ish steel like D2 would concern me. You paid a lot of money for that knife and D2 is sweet n all, but you paid specifically for S35VN

Edit: sorry, my man, I have no answer for your question, I was just compelled to share some precedence which may concern you. Good luck with the tool search
