I struggle for thread titles !!!

Anyway while hiking today I came across a plant that was new to me so I took a pic and looked it up when I got in.
Turns out it was Corallorhiza maculata, or spotted coralroot and is quite a usefull little bugger !

Several Native American groups historically used the stems dried and brewed as a tea for such maladies as colds, pneumonia, and skin irritation.

I'd taken my little Wolf Pup with me today:

Maisy found a great natural shelter:

I love this particular hike for it's variety:

I think Snicker farted in that one photo. That's the same exact look I get when I do it. It's the look of: "Ahh...relief..."

Always hard to tell from a single pic, but how do you reckon it would go in heavy rain?

Kind regards
Mick
I take it from your lack of response that you either haven't seen my question, or heavy rain isn't something you get on Vancouver Island?

My question still stands, how do you reckon this form of natural shelter would go in heavy rain?

Kind regards
Mick

Sorry buddy I'd missed that !

Yeah we get heavy rain on the Island, very heavy !!!!:(

The hollow went quite a way back, maybe 6 feet or so but I think in continual heavy rain you'd get very wet !!!!
