I saw this article and I thought this was pretty cool/interesting. A fellow from the 6-8th centuries had a knife prosthetic he wore on an amputated arm. I particularly liked this quote from the article:

"Micarelli also noted that the teeth on the man’s right side were very worn, possibly from using them to tighten straps that held a prosthesis in place."

Holy Crap, so it was based on True Events???

Cool story! Thanks for sharing. It reminded me of this one I saw just today....fish with built in switchblades!!!

Sir, why are you carrying this ugly fish in that plastic bag? It's my EDC Fish, I got it for self defense." *fish shoots out blade* "Holy crap it's an auto!" *cops slaps cuffs on you*:D

And that topic, I was shocked how big those deep sea anglerfish actually get:

(Apparently that's a life size model of an adult one (being able to grow to over 3 feet and 100 pounds , for some reason I thought they were small. I mean those are some big effing teeth...)

Very cool, thanks for sharing, enjoyed reading that article. One of the antecedents of Captain Hook!

Could he have even s much as legally entered California with that prosthesis?
