Just finished this one over last weekend. It is forged 52100 with an oval ricasso. the blade measures 9" with an overall length of 14". The guard is 416 stainless. The handle is African blackwood, quilted with ns pins in each diamond. The handle has a cool feel in the hand. Sort of like a beaded seat cover for your car.:p . The finial is heat colored mild steel. It is a take down peice.

Let me know what you think:)

P.S. it is available. contact me of forum @ (903)746-0004 over the weekend or by e-mail next week

That is exceptional! The "quilting" in that handle is really something - the symmetry and precision are dead on. Looks great, and no doubt makes for a sure grip, too.

Absolutely beautiful Bailey! (Reminds me somewhat of the knife in my avatar ;) ) I just LOVE the handle treatment - truly sublime.

I keep trying to think of words to describe this knife, but all I can do is mumble incoherently and drool. :D

This is one awesome knife!

Bailey,

This is a gorgeous piece. How much is it? Also, is the ferrule integrale?

Tom,

I used to have a stash of aircrast rivets out of nickle silver. They are used up or lost, so......I made each and every one. Took about three hours.

I looked at it, said wow ! Bailey Bradshaws signature perfectionism, and then had to do a double take to look at the guard !!! This is museum grade stuff ... MAN ! Jason.

I can't let this one slip outa here without singing my praise, too! :)

Bailey KNOWS I love this style knife! What they said above. Fantastic piece, and I like how tastefully you displayed your mark.

Tom,

I made the pins by predrilling the hole in the handle. The blackwood made this easy. I then taped the pin stock into the hole until is seated firmly. The handle had a couple layers of tape on it. Once the pin was seated, I used my gravermax and a slightly rounded, polised tool, and carefully peened each pin to a domed head.
Hope that helps.

Coop,

I figured this one would get your attention. Glad you like it. I took it to the hammer-in at Old Washington over the weekend and couldn't resist cutting the rope. Too much fun:p
