bk16 would be my first pick. another one similar to that would be the Ontario Rat5&7; 5&7"blades

if you can stretch alittle over $100 i highly recommend the ESEE6 (6") or the ESEE4 (4")

check out the exchange under fixed blades, great buys for about 100.00, or a little more. If not that, go for ESEE 3 or 4. let us know what you go with.

Either of those would work well. I'm not sure what you consider camp activities, but a slightly larger knife such as the BK-7 might also work for you. I really like the BK-16 and I dug out my old version Northwest Ranger (with the partial serrations) and feel it would be a more than adequate choice.

The Condor Hudson Bay might also work. I have the smaller Condor Kephart and like it a lot also. It is about the same size as the BK-16. If I could choose only one, it would be the BK-16 as I love this knife for general use whether it be at the camp site or in the woods.

I have the Condor hudson bay and i love it. but now i was looking for something smaller. and thanks for your help guys. Right now im stuck between the becker BK16, Sog NW ranger, Sog Team Leader, and the cold steel SRK. Let me know if you guys have experience with theses knives and there sheathes. A Good ambidextrous sheath is important to me because I'm a lefty.

Anything from Ka-Bar (especially the becker line) or Ontario is where I start. The BK16 is a great little knife with a high quality ambidextrous molle sheath.

I like Condor for the price but their edges and really thick and with a $100 budget you can buy a knife that is leaps and bounds better. Still, for $30 you can't go wrong with a condor rodan. Heck for $100 you could get a Condor Rodan/Varan/Kumunga or any number of their offerings as well as a Mora and a leatherman sidekick and pretty much be set for outdoor knives. But you could do the same with something from the Ontario SP line too.

Whats up guys, I Ended up going with the Becker BK17. The clip point blade really caught my eye. I ended up paying 75 Total on amazon for it. Thanks a lot guys i really appreciate it.

Best of luck with and post some pics of it in use sometime. We love pictures. :D
