I got the idea from woodsmonkey.com - there I first stumbled upon the swiss flask psk.

I was looking for those flasks and found out that I could not get such a cool deal on all aluminum flasks, but I could get a plastic flask for a decent price.

So that looked like this:

I cut off the top with a dremel and cleaned the cut with the Izula and fine sandpaper:

Now I collected some stuff I wanted in there:

(Ziploc-bags, tea candle, sewing kit, triangle bandage, string)

(gas lighter, char coal lighter as tinder, a condom, aluminum foil, old sak,
in the small ziploc bag theres a wire saw, a key-type screwdriver, and some tape, tablets and of course the rat fire kit along with the going gear striker, packed with some inner tube as coal extender and there is tinder in the compartment of the fire kit - there must be some bandaids somewhere, but they might have slipped underneath the blue rag)

Did add a small led light.
I want to add some esbit or something to be able to boil some water, and I'll add a stock cube and some tea bags, so the cup makes more sense.

Looks good.... so tell me, how do you keep the stuff from rattling around? I put one together over the weekend, and even with everything bagged, it still sounded like i have a cowbell on my belt... :/ I ened up stuffing a Bandana inside to keep all the contents from moving around.

So after you put your stuff in there you use the cup as the lid for the canteen?

Check the W&SS forum for a thread about the Maxpedition Bottle Holder by J Williams. A lot of good info there and maybe something to give you more ideas.

@MrCoffee
Well that is what the blue thing is for. keeps stuff from rattling around.

Now then, to give credit to whom its due I need to provide the link to the article on woodsmonkey

I had another idea- if I add Trioxane, Esbit, Greenheat or whatever, I should have something handy in which to burn it, and I just happen to have this handbag size deodorant can and when I cut a portion off, the bottom outside might be perfect to burn fuel in.

Good article. I love the banner just above the title! Very classy.

oh wait, that is mine. :D
