Hey all, first time posting here in W/SS and I'm guess this topic has been beat to death, Maybe not so much with my current requirements but none the less, thanks for taking the time to help me out on a topic I'm sure your sick of hearing about.

I'm looking for a nice Medium/Large size pack that can hold (strap on) my Compound Bow or little .22 and possibly hold a machete as well. Any recommendations are welcome. I've been looking at the Maxpedition Packs but not sure if thats were I should be looking.

A pack that can have pockets added and taken away would also be a plus but not sure if thats asking too much. Lastly if there is a popular pack with a "mod" to hold a gun or bow thats fine as well, as long as it dependable and cleanish.

Thanks for the help guys!

I like those alot, just a tad on the pricey side. But it looks like you definitely get what you pay for

You might check somewhere like Cabela's or Bass Pro. I know Cabela's has a backpack hunting bag set up to hold either a bow or rifle and I think comes in two sizes. You could check the reviews on their site. If I remember right I think they were around $100.

Also take a look at Badlands.

Second for Badlands...their packs are designed for not only rifles but bows; very well made. I only have their small Ultra Day, but I handled their larger packs with both a rifle and bow attached:thumbup:

Eberle is your one stop. Glen Eberle is an AWESOME guy, world class Biathlete and has spent as much time on trails in harsh conditions as anyone. They're out of Boise, standup company. Even if you don't get one of their packs, you can buy one of their MOLLE Sidescabbards to strap to the side of another pack, for over-the-shoulder draw, no hands carry and trailproof protection for your rifle.

Wow I have never seen Eberlestock packs those are great, that is my next pack for sure! I really like the Gunslinger II or the Just One.
