Wouldn't it be wonderful if a medium Sebenza was available. Has Chris Reeve been petitioned for such a creation? Should we start?

It's been mentioned in the CRK forum a few times, I'd start there.

But actually I'd disagree, there no need for a medium sbenza.

The subject has been brought up many times, but I haven't heard any positive replies yet from CRK. The Buck/Mayo 172 will have to do for now.

I'd rather have a Mnandi sized Sebenza. That would be the ultimate for me. But if a medium sized one were to come out, I'd have to have one.

I agree. I don't see the need for a medium either. Besides, I'm still waiting on the redesigned Umfaan. :D

Make mine Medium Rare, please. :D

Seriously, the small and large are not all that different. I don't see the need to offer a medium, too.

I also see no need for a medium Sebbie, but i would just love to see a lighter Large model, at 4 3/4 onces, i wish Chris would put out a lighter one (lighter then the wood models), can be done deffernet ways i'm sure and put me down for it as soon as one comes out!

I know Tom Mayo makes them lighter with his holes, why not CRK?

James

A medium Sebbie will never materialize. . .I don't think CRK has the time for it.

Personally, there are enough CRK folder options available at this time. . .large regular Sebbie, large Classic Sebbie, small regular Sebbie, small Classic Sebbie, Umfaam (sp) and the Mnandi. :D

And those are just the plain.

Then there are the Graphics and the Woodies. :)

What more do you want ? :p

I'm happy. :D

What more do I want? I'd like to see what Chris and company could do with a slip joint.

Paul

How about that helix lock as a production model?

A lightweight large Mnandi -- there's your medium CRK.

A recurved 5.5" Sable, maybe with a bit of a trailing point.

Now you've got me running through the whole line-up, thinking of great new ideas! :D

My vote goes to the slip-joint CRK !!!
For me, the Sebenza options actually available are just the relevant…

:D

I hope that you guys don't plan on holding your breath ! ;)

I did that once. . .over carbon fiber inlays on a Sebbie. . .and I passed out. :p ;) :D

i think a medium would be perfect. The small is too small and the large is too large. I have a large and i constantly wish it was just a tad bit smaller. Something along the lines of 3.25" - 3.4"

For me, the umfaan was the perfect size EDC. I know its heresy to say around these parts, but even the Small Sebenza was too big for daily carry (I wear a suit to work). The Small Sebbie would be a great weekend knife, but I always wished for a smaller version.

I almost bought the Umfaan and started looking for a plain-jane version until I heard it was being redesigned. Trane, do you have any info on the redesigned model, timeframes for release, what's been changed, etc.?

There have been no details on the Umfaan re-design other than it will be done.
If you have a chance to pick up a dis-continued Umfaan, grab it. It's a great little knife.

I too, would love to see a Sebenza sized between the small and the large. To me, it would work very well. I'm not holding my breath though.

Bridget mentioned "a year or two" to me this week.

C'mon guys....we have been through this before. Chris Reeve said he will not make a larger Sebenza. So keep dreaming. I don't know how many threads like this I have seen in the past year. Get over it. It won't happen. If you want larger buy a custom. :grumpy: Ya' bastids. :p
