Medium Sebenza?

Has anyone ever given the thought to a new size for the sebenza? I like the large size, but I think it's too big unless i'm outdoors. The small is nice, but if you have the small regular like me it seems a bit thick for its size, and a bit stubby. I think a size inbetween the two, a medium, would be perfect! What do you all think?

Also, is CRK ever going to make a new folder? The Sebenza and Mnandi are wonderful, no doubt, but isn't it time for something else? There are a bunch of CRK fixed blades and nobody talks about them. Everything is about the folders with this company; anybody can make a fixed blade! A new folder would be awesome!

I'd rather see a Sebenza the size of the Mnandi, but that's just me. :p ;)

I, on the other hand, would rather see a XL Sebenza with a blade at 4.0". :D

Put a Wharncliffe blade on that bad boy and I'm there all day long. ! :D ;)

I saw a ex small Sebie at Blade. The dealer said thet it was a very limited run.

Do a search and you will find this topic has been discussed numerous times before and the answer from CRK will always be the same........they won't do it.

That would be called an Umfaan. ;)

This issue has been brought up before. I, too, would like a Sebenza sized in between the large and small, however, when CRK has difficulty keeping up with the demand for the existing line (usually backlogged) what's the incentive, from a business prospective, of tooling up for another size?

I wanted a larger Sebenza so I went out and bought a BM Skirmish :)

What little I know about CRK leads me to believe those among us pantin' for a new-sized Sebenza will hyperventilate first. It seems one of the cornerstones of Chris's design philosophy is simplicity and I imagine that extends to keeping the number of models offered in check. Look at the relative importance of the Umfaan-replacement project for instance! I don't see any reason for the Reeve operation to get too excited over adding new models to their lineup. What's the current backoreder time on most everything??? Get my drift?

Umfaan,I had heard the name but I did not know it was that model.

The Buck Mayo is a good surrogate "medium Sebenza." No, it doesn't quite have CRK's tolerances or quality of execution but it's a very nice, reasonably priced package nonetheless. (Tip-down clip, too!)
