Meerkat problems......?

Hello Spyderco folks. I recently got a Meerkat and like it very much. The problems are the scale which releases the lock is very "wiggly" when the blade is open. The blade has severe side to side play and moderate up and down play. You can hold the blade and shake side to side and hear it rattle. I assume this is not right? Should I send it in? Sal? Thanks all.

Send that sucker in. Mine has none of the problems that you posted, so you probably got one that slipped through the tight QC net!

mine displays the same flaw. However, I will not send it in mainly because it is a numbered piece and living in Sweden, it´s too much effort. However, I´d do it if I were you

Hi Magician. Sorry you are having a problem. I would send it in.

dePaul. Sorry about your problem. Ake Lyden could probably replace it for you, but as you mention, the number would be lost. I think, at this time, better to keep the numbered version that you have.
