Picked up a Golden 440c Meerkat yesterday. Didn't know much about them other than the phantom lock. After doing a little research, I got conflicting info about their production. Is it true the first run was made in Colorado and all subsequent models made in Japan? And how many were made in Golden? I didn't get it for any other reason than I liked the design. Any info from more knowledgable members would be appreciated.
