My new Meerkat C64PBK2 arrived today. It's a bit smaller than I expected. Makes my Salsa look big! Tomorrow will be a fun day, as I offer it to my friends & watch them try to close it. ;)

The clip on this is very deep, & I'd like to know if all Kats came this way. Is this a forerunner to deep clips for the other
Spydies? I'd really like a clip like this for all my Natives.

The Meerkat is one of my personal favorites. None of your friends will be able to close it.
With some practice you'll be flipping it open and closed easily.
 
I hear you L G. Just put a drop of Tuf-Glide on to make things that much slicker!
 
Yep ... all the Meercats have the "deep" clip. In the Spydie clipit lineup, it is one of the few that rides nearly completely hidden in your pocket. That is kind of a nice feature. I'm with you Sig ..... I'd love to have a Native with a similar clip.

Yup. Very deep carry and a tiny little wire clip. This thing's virtually invisible in the pocket. It's the anti-gunting :D

And the phantom lock is useful for more than just torturing your friends--when somebody asks to "borrow your knife", you know you're gonna get it back. Most people are wary of putting an open knife in their pockets.
 
The Meerkat is a really nice piece.
I'd like to see another Spydie with a Phantom Lock.

The Dodo has a clip similar & Spyderco Penknife will have also have deep wire clip - tip down.
