Only from the imagination of Paul Ehlers does our first production piece dawn in this size category...meet MAX...the Mini-Axe!!!

We plan to debut this model at the NY Custom Show, the first weekend this November! This piece is INCREDIBLY ergonomic, and affords tremendously versatile cutting functionality.

Materials and dimensions are as follows...

.01875 thick (3/16ths) 01 Tool Steel
Sabre Ground Bevels
Parkerized Finish
Black Linen Micarta Slabs..sculpted, dished, and radiused
Brass Pins
3" Primary Cutting Edge Length
9" Overall Length

okay, stupid question-
the total length, is it from the top of the head to the bottom of the handle, or does it include the length of the head horizontally over to the chopping edge?
Like I said, stupid question, but looking at this, I may be coming to the NYC show (again!!) if you think you'd have any working models for sale...
 
It's a GOOD question Kelt. The overall length measurement is from the tip of the butt, straight up the handle to just above the haft...where the perpendicular line would be, drawn back from the raised point of the cutting face.

And they are totally working pieces, which will be priced right.
 
Andy, I think you have a real winner here. This is one that I will be wanting to get my hands on. What a great idea.:cool:
 
Thanks for the remarks gents! This piece is planned for availability to all by the New York Custom Knife Show, Nov. 2nd...so, essentially, one month from now.
 
I'd love to see pictures of the finished product....and OWN ONE :) !
