In the excitement of moving a few weeks ago, (We JUST got internet hooked up) I picked up a NEW BECKER!!
What do you think??

I take my new Becker everywhere......Fishing,

Swimming,

I take it in the Greenhouse w/me.

Sometimes Dresnor falls asleep w/my Becker...

The other day I lost my Becker in the blankets while making the bed....BUT I found it! ...=)

Even Crush O'Malley likes my new Becker!

I plan to bring my Becker on all kinds of adventures

For actual Becker Content....=)...sorry guys for the "cute" thread ;) and YES...His name is BECKER!....Hopefully we can bring our Becker to the N.E. Beckerhead Gathering this Fall..he can hang out w/Rosco (Angryhippie's dog) & Pete (Trailbum's dog) =)

Thanks for looking =)

OMG PUPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Adorable. Congrats. I have a lab catahoula mix who is with me always, love him.

Beautiful pup!!! Is he a lab / pit mix? His head is really blocky but his paws ain't too big. I'll bet he finishes out at around 60lbs.

Congrats & thanks for sharing!!

Yes he is a Lab/Pit mix. I don't know how much he will weight but at almost 4 months he is 30 pounds.

Thanks guys!

Great post. Great lookin pooch! The wife and I have been putting some serious thought in getting a dog. We had one for years when it was just me and her. Now that we have to kids we want to get a breed that's got a good temperment and can grow up with them. Were thinkin along the lines of a lab.

So when are you gonna strip the black finish, force a patina, and change the handles ?
I was waiting for this! Glad to see Silvy doesn't disappoint!

CUTE puppay! I'm torn between getting one and not. I'm not at home SO much of the time, but I really want someone/thing here when I get home. Before anyone says cat... GTFO!

I had a pit/lab mix when I was a kid. He ended up weighing 110 & had a 22" neck. But I think a lot of his size & strength came from my father keeping him chained to a log/tree stump we brought home. That stump probably weighed over 100lbs but Blackie could drag it around at top speed within a few months of being chained to it.
I can only advise you to socialize yer pup early and as often as humanly possible. Ours got to be a problem because he never intetacted with anyone outside of our immediate family. Just my 2¢ :D

I always feel funny using the word cute but there isn't any other word to describe that pup! Becker is a great name too!

If your looking for a large breed that is great with kids you should look at the Alaskan malamute. My wife and I have 2 young daughters so temperament was a major determining factor. Really happy with our choice. Kodi is a gentle giant. He weighs in at 100lbs and can pull a tank and just loves the kids. Also a major plus is he only sheds once a year....granted he sheds a boat load but it only lasts a couple weeks. Anyways good luck on king a breed.

Silverthorn....awesomely funny. I was wondering if it was roll stamped or laser etched.

Nice pooch, Becker is a fitting name!
