Meet Singapore Gurkha Police Inspector Min Bahadur Paija, 25 year veteran of the force (center). He is Vikashes cousin and will retire next year and return to Nepal. Vikash stopped by to visit him on a vacation trip to Nepal in March and received the Singapore Police shirt as a gift. Nin's father and Vikashes father were brothers.

Vikash said if anybody wanted a Singapore Gurkha Police shirt he would try to get some. No guarantees but he will try. Sign on if interested.

Gurkha Police t-shirts? You bet! Heck, I'll tarde for some Phoenix PD D.A.R.E. t-shirts if he's interested. No promises, but maybe I could even find him a Glendale SWAT t-shirt...
Shamrock Don and I would both like one... But do they even make 'em in XL and 2XL???

Vikash is going to call tonight and find out available sizes and get a price. We will have to ship express mail and that gets a little pricey but shirts don't weigh nearly as much as khukuris!

Stay tuned. We should have info before the week is out.

Put me down for one in XL. That seems like and oximoron considering the location.

Also my first thought.

What a professional looking trio.

Cheers, God Bless.

Hmmm, Police shirts?=) Gurkha Police shirts??=D Well since I have already contracted the wildly spreading and and popular HIKV, I feel a burning itch beginning near my brain...must scratch...must get...shirt...shirt...Large and X-Large...

Oh, sorry I lost my mind there for a moment. Dear friend Bill, please oh please sign me up for 2 of those shirts (1-Large & 1-XLarge). I would gladly trade (as well as pay) with Vikash for this honor but all I have is a single Deck Division shirt from my old boat and several well used Food Service shirts when I was doing my required time scrubbing the pots and pans of the mess cooks (ahh the days of glory come back again

), and dozens of different little metal figures of various make. Hey, I'm still a kid at heart so I'm allowed to have my toys, atleast toys other than kukhs. Once again I am wandering off course and into the regions of babbling so I think I should stop now before I run into a wall again. Thanks Uncle Bill, Vikash, Inspector Min Bahadur Paija, all your families.

You want me to give him a fair fight? Hah! If you ain't cheatin' then you ain't tryin'

This picture was taken at Min's promotion ceremony when he was promoted to Inspector -- a year or two back.

The fellows are very professional looking and are very professional! Brother-in-law Gurme serves here, too, but has not been promoted to the level of Inspector yet. He is still a grunt!

We will know more about the shirts later today or tomorrow after Vikash calls Min. Stay tuned. If Vikash can get them then it's a go.

Vikash called and missed Min -- at work already -- so left a message with wife asking Min to call. We'll see how it all pans out. We are only hours into this little project. This deal belongs to Vikash. I am just the messenger. Stay tuned. I think this may work out.

By the way, take a look at the hats! Anybody want one of these if Vikash can get them?

For those who might be interested, Vikash's father retired from Gorkha service after about 25 years and then died soon after, leaving Vikash an orphan at about age 12.

Actually Uncle Bill I already have a hat similar to those (of course it doesn't fit my head, what with the oversized brain and huge ego, must be a symptom of HIKV). But I am a sucker for a new addition to the collection. Count me in for one of them. As a sidenote, I also have the hatpins for: Gurkha Regiments 1, 2, 3, 4, & 5. Also for the Gurkha Military Police (looks similar to those in the pic), and a rare pin for the Gurkha Parachute Battalion from WW2, and one for the more recent Royal Gurkha Rifles.

Babbling again, Sorry

Uncle Bill,
I'm definitely in for one of the hats if you can get it in 7 5/8.

Watch out! Our South East Asian T Shirt sizes are having a different standard ... I guess you have to get at least an XL size!

Pakcik Bill - yours will be at least XXL size!

NEPAL HO!

Don't know any details yet or even if we can get the stuff. Vikash works nights at Reno Hilton, until 3AM so I won't see him for another hour or two. He may have tried to call again when he got home from work but don't know.

Stay tuned. We will get it all chased down sooner or later.
