Well, howdy, beast. Pleased to make your acquaintance.

Sorry, Guyon, but it looks like a stripped Camillus BK-2 to me. Am I missing something?

It does look good, though.

stripped , polished, and looks like some grooving on the slabs???

It does look nice, and while I am groovin' on the micarta slabs, the grooved ones like that were the standard after market micarta for the Camillus Beckers.

Hey! :grumpy:

For a five-inch-blade, that's a monstrous handful! :p :D

And yes, those are the stock Camillus micarta scales attached with a set of stainless bolts/nuts.

Dude... I'd be the last one to ever dis a Boldly Beautiful Becker Blade, especially a monstrous hand filler like the BK-2 — which just happens to be my favorite go-to all-around knife in the whole wide world. Mine is a Ka-Bar version, but that's neither here nor there (though it may be somewhere else).

It looks really good, Guyon. Somehow I missed the stainless bolts and nuts, but I like 'em. I may have to investigate some of those myself.

By all means, post some pics if you got 'em.

A long while back, I got the scales and bolts from Tom over at Chestnut Ridge Knife Shop.
He may not carry the bolts anymore, but he could probably clue you into a source.

I haven't pimped mine out, Guyon; it's just your standard, plain vanilla, Grivory scales BK-2. It's a little more scratched up than when it came out of the box, but it's still standard. I'll take pics of it doing something interesting someday.

I would almost be willing to bet that in a city the size of San Diego, I would be able to find stainless fittings like that — maybe even at Home Depot. I'll check.

I've thought of stripping the coating off of mine, but haven't decided yet. A few more scratches, a little more wear, and maybe I will.

aaaaaaah STAINLESS STEEL allen bolts! doh, totally missed those,,,,,LOL

Yeah, I missed them, too, Bushy. When I first looked at the pic, I thought it was just light reflecting on standard bolts and nuts.

I like the idea, though.

Great minds think alike!

Mine is with knifemaker Lamont Coombs, he is stripping the black off and putting a beadblast finish on it and making me black canvas micarta grips. We are ditching the bolts and he is attaching the handles with stainless pins. Then it is going to Heber Ellsworth who is crafting a custom leather sheath for it with firesteel loop and stone pouch that can be carried vertically or horizontally. I will be sure to post pics when done.
