Hey guys,
My chick and I bought a house about 6 months ago and right away we talked about getting a dog. We recently saw an ad for some puppies and we took the plunge.
Anyways here he is, and yes in named him after super Marios dinosaur friend.

Pups rule, dogs rule ... our hearts are so well committed to loving the most loyal, loving, intelligent and empathetic of animals ... our dogs. From a very long lifetime of the privilege of having such companions, congratulations ... and welcome to your new world of understanding such unwavering loyalty.

Thanks guys,
I've had family dogs before but never of my own and not when I was old enough to really appreciate it.

I completely get what you are saying. Prepare for a far different level of loving your pet and of empathising with an animal. It will change you and make you a better and more empathetic person. My sense of it only - open to the thoughts on the subject of others. But, this was my experience. Enjoy. Enjoy every fun minute, every success and everything you learn.

Got my "mutt" last Christmas. He was already about a year old.

He was a "rescue" only in the sense that my bro in law for him, and decided he could not keep him after a year.

He is a papered basset hound.

He was pretty darned cute as a pup...

Adorable!!! I wish I wasn't allergic and could have some of these dogs, especially a Husky or Lab to run around with. But I love my little guys.
Have a Morkie and Yorkie.

He is gorgeous Bigfatty!!!!!

He has some scarring/grizzling on the nose from multiple run ins with wasps. He won't leave them alone, and I kill about 4 nests per year. Even after being stung, on the nose 6 to seven times on multiple occasions, he still tries to eat them wherever he finds them!

He figured out how to defeat this scratch guard with in a day or two. We had to go with a larger one, that he figured out how to beat within a a day!

My parents dog used to love skunks he got sprayed 3 or 4 times a year and the fur on his face was always plasters back making us think he was pretty darn close when sprayed.
