Went to the local gun show in Las Cruces and got to meet Mr. Martin for the second time, this time with photo evidence:)

Always good to talk to another Buck fan and partake in his vast knowledge;) Plus, always nice to check out his collection.

Kim, Your so kind. The pleasure was all mine. The photo caught me browsing into his back pack. He brought me a early 2 dot sheath and early 137 sheath (hope you guys remember which model the 137 is). Its always great to see Buck friends and THANK YOU for serving in our armed forces. This show is well attended. Best wishes, David

It does look like you are up to something in the picture David... Great lookin display

Hi Kyui,

As David said, thank you for your service to our country! It's was nice of you to post a photo of David hard at work or should I say hard at "play" working the show;).

So Kyui, what is your favorite Buck knife, and what knife do you EDC?

My favorite Buck would definetley have to be the custom shop 110 the Mrs in the photo got me. S30V and Koa wood handles:D. After that one, the close second would be my Vantage Pro that I swapped out for DiamondWood handles. That one was my EDC for a bit, but as of late, I have been trying to validate my collection by carrying everything I have for a few days at a time.

PS: I appreciate the kind words

Kyui, I'm glad that you had the pleasure of meeting David. I consider him a good friend although we've only met once face to face when he came to California. He's a true gentleman, a great friend and a wonderful spokesperson for Buck.

David, it looks like someone goosed you!

I like the banner that the Buck Club sent you.

The Buck Steelmaster?

Thats the one. Thanks Craig, Plumber and JB. I've always thought life is what you make of it. Humor is something I attempt to carry along as I go. This must have rubbed off some. Notice the man seated behind me in the photo. He was like that all weekend, very business like and would hardly speak to me. This afternoon as the show was closing, he turned to me and ask. What do you call a Buck that has no sheath? I don't know, I said. "Buck Naked", he replied and returned to his work. DM

ZING! Guess everyone has their light side:D

I am going to travel to David's country in Feb. for a big show and bring my 300s. He and I bet Skyhorse will be there and maybe a few more Buckaroos.
We will call it the Southwest conference of the BCCI. Anyone willing to travel to NM come join in. 300Bucks

You bet! Where in NM you all planning to be?

Kim, Its to the same show in Las Cruces, only the Feb. 18 & 19 at the convention center. Come and we'll have some fun. I sure missed Sky Horse at this last show. DM

Looks like a good time to be had by all! except maybe the "business like" guy. I've met a few folks like that at shows...no time to enjoy present company...might miss out on a sale. I've really enjoyed myself more at shows just buying and shooting the breeze, rather than trying to sell knives and turn a profit....and I still haven't displayed my Bucks

I'll try to make that show sometime after I retire to NM. Looks like a good time. Nice display David. Thanks for the pic Kim!

Thank you Flatlander, its been directly enhanced from my associations here. Tony, you retire here you'll also be coming to our house for supper. DM

David....just wondering if you made those two slanted boxes on each end of your display table? I like the way they show the knives.
Mark
