I have a nice piece of meitorite damascus made by delbert Ealy. Just wondering if I can use it as blade material? I looked through a few of my blade annuals and have only seen meitorite used as bolsters.
Thanks in advance,
Chuck

I have pics of a Kit Carson folder in the Knives POints of Interest books. Meteorite Damascus blade. Might not hold an edge well, but I doubt we're talking about a heavy user! :D

Chuck,
You can't make a working blade with meteorite. You can make some pretty nice "non working" pieces.

Devin Thomas has made a meteor/high carbon steel mix damascus that has decent edge holding capabilities and looks good to boot.
