Hello,

I really like one of Pardue's Damascus daggers. I want to get it as an everyday carry knife, but, being a fan of high-end steels, I'm worried about the lack of info about Pardue's damascus.
Can anybody please tell, how good is that damascus?

Also..

Another question is regarding Cpt. B. Koyama. Can anybody tell, where to get this knofemaker's knives, apart form bladegallery.com?

I used to have one of his tanto folders with 1095, 0-1 and a little Nickel in a twist pattern.

I couldn't tell you how strong it is but I can't really imagine it being horrible. I doubt that it is as good as the ABS makers' steel. I don't think he uses the same testing procedure.

And what would you say about Eggerling mosaic damascus?

Is it good? It's widely used, but I couldn't find any reviews..

I know this thred is old as balls. But if you are worried about streangth and performance. STAY AWAY FROM ANY MOSAIC. It is week steel and ment for looks. I have many of Mels knives and I like his damascus. Looks nice with a nice shine and stays sharp and really doesnt rust. Im not sure what Jonathan Brand ment by the ABS thing because Mel is in the ABS so if he passed the test at 1 point with his steel I do not see why he would start makeing infereior steel?
