This is moderator Stacy Apelt from Shop Talk.

Jesse Latham was a registered user and could not log in. He would do the log-in request and never get an email with the code. He tried many times for several weeks. I suggested he purchase a paid membership, which he gladly did. He still can't log in, though.
(funny thing is I had a similar issue a little while ago)

His info is:
User name is “Jesse Latham”. The email attached to the membership is “j_klatham@msn.com”.

Can you help him get logged back in, please.
You can reach him at that email.
Thank you!

Has he checked his spam folder? Recently several folks have had that issue and the messages going to the spam folder seemed to be the culprit since the new software was installed.

Another member said he had to check deeper than the spam folder on his system but I don't remember what he did specifically...since the mods can't control any of this relating to software issues.

Have him at least do that while we await other advice from folks who know more than I do about this issue.

I was locked out on one device and the system did not take my code from the authenticator app. I was able to get in on another device in my home which had not timed out. As a result, I disabled 2FA to avoid issues until I know it's rectified.

I had a similar issue and I had to go to the web site for the email to see the mail in the junk folder. For some reason, Microsoft does not sync the junk mail folder to email clients like the one in MacOS. You have to go to the website.

I had the exact same issue. FWIW, my email is a gmail account. Not sure if maybe that is a common element. I wasn't gettting the login verification messages for 2FA in my inbox. I was at a loss until I found this thread and found the messages in my spam folder. If you can't log in, there does not appear to be any way to contact an admin or even a moderator here to get help logging in. A genuine Catch-22.

Is there any way to pin a message to the top of this subforum to tell folks that if they are being locked out by 2FA because they're not getting the login verification message, then they should first check their spam folder for the login verification message???

My Gmail spam is always empty. I'm not getting verification emails. All day
