I'd like to give something back to the community that has entertained and educated me over the last few years. I've been fortunate to have made some friends, shared some good times and bad with people here. My way of giving back:

Nominate someone for a Gold membership. If you are a Registered User or a Basic User you can nominate yourself (Just post an "I'm in" if you like). If the same person gets nominated more than once, I'll keep a tally of that.

I will announce the winner on 6/10/11 @ 10pm MST (if I don't get called out to work that is).

Thanks to the Pirates and Bladeforums Community for keeping this place fun and interesting. ;)

**Due to overwhelming responses, I've decided whom will get the Gold in this contest. I will be doing another giveaway as soon as Blade is over and done with. Thanks to all whom voted and posted. ;)

I nominate James Terrio - he occasionally makes me laugh, and I think he's be a good addition to the crew at the place that can't be spoken of... :)
 
The Terrio kid's OK. He might make a good pirate. Hell, he can't be any worse than Numbers.:D
 
Well, I don't like to ask for stuff but I suppose I'll nominate myself. Lost my job in January when my boss skipped town owing everyone thousands in back pay, and after putting out a dozen applications a week I got another job last month which, after deducting for expenses, pays less than half minimum wage. I would probably make more money bagging groceries and pushing shopping carts for 15 hours a week, but every supermarket and retail store within 10 miles has more applications than they can reply to. Since February I've been selling off my gun collection to pay bills and buy groceries. That is why I haven't renewed my membership yet. :(

Well, I was gonna vote for myself, but I wont win lol. My vote goes for Tyr, keep your head up man.
 
This is interesting. I cannot help but smile as so many people that know little of eachother (relatively speaking and all are voting for the same person. I think the decision speaks for itself. I'll whip out my MIDAS Honey Badger and get this guy into some shiney golden duds.
I am going to give away a couple more items, this is not the end of it, merely the beginning. Thank you to all of you that posted in the thread. Let's remember that once in a while, paying forward a little of our good fortune can really go a long way. It's you guys and gals that make this a great forum., and I appreciate it everytime I log in.

Way to go! Tyr is good people from what I have seen here. And I hate it when good people get kicked in the teeth by life. Just so happens that I got my expiration email yesterday and rushed to the post office with a bag of quarters and dimes to send the renewal fee. But... lead time on the notice is ONE DAY... so, don't be surprised if I lose my Platy status for a while. Even so, I would have nominate Tyr instead of myself cause that is how us Codgers roll. And thankyou RevDevil for making him golden. Now about those five Busse knives you are giving away....
