Membership renewal

A quick question for Spark or one of the mods. I think my gold membership renewal is coming up and I am just wondering if there will be a notification sent to me before this happens or do I just play it by ear and wait until I notice I lost my membership myself?
 
I think it will tell you when your subscription expires by going to Settings>Paid subscriptions.
 
I just got Paid Subscription Expiry Notice‏ on 8/27/11.
Can I pay the subscription using PayPal and how?

Anyhow IMVHO the notices should be send out at least 14 days before the expiry date so that we have long enough time to resend the cotinuation fees!
In the current practices I just read the email dated 8/27/11 today and my previous posting showed that the status of my membership already voided and changed to registered user!
Isn't it a very short notices?

I'd paid via Paypal already but it seems I'm still a registered user!
Am I suppose to do anything to make it appear as a paid user?

Yes, it would probably help if you make a thread in this forum to let spark know you've paid via paypal, so that he'll know to activate it. Include your confirmation number. Then you may need to go to "settings" in the upper right corner of the page and the "paid subscriptions" in the left side column. Then click on your paid subscription and click "save".
