I just upgraded my membership to Gold status, so I need my previous Basic membership pro-rated.

Thanks,
JC

I'm pretty sure they don't pro-rate memberships. If you bought the basic, and then upgraded again to Gold, congrats, but you're out the $10 you went in for basic.

That is odd because in the FAQ it says that if you want to upgrade, buy the new membership and then post a request here stating that you upgraded and they would pro-rate the remainder of your previous membership onto your new membership.

Quoted from FAQ:

"Can I upgrade my paying membership to a higher level?
Sure you can! Just purchase the new membership level that you'd like, then click here to post a thread in Service & Support stating that you need your membership pro-rated. We'll cancel your old membership and pro-rate the remaining time onto the end of your new one. "

I thought that meant you'd get an extended amount of time. For example, if you had nine months of Basic left, and you upgraded to Gold, they'd give you a year and nine months.

I don't set policy, so I could be wrong. :o

Exactly...sort of. I would think the 9 months of a Basic ($10) membership would be pro-rated to $7.75, which would extend a Gold ($25) membership by 30% or 3.6 months.

I didn't mean it to be a pro-rated refund, but I thought whomever takes care of this would know that.

You're correct. That's how it works.

You are taken care of. A basic to gold upgrade is usually an extra 3 months if it's done right away. You lose some time because I have to upgrade it manually.
