My wife's family has a tradition of having a family get together at their lake house every Memorial Day for the long weekend. This year I get stuck working the entire weekend and can't go.:grumpy: Do you know what that means? Beside working, I get to sit at home alone and babysit my wife's four, yes four, cats.

Well, to lift my spirits, I thought this would be a good time to take an updated picture of my Busse collection. I started collecting about three months ago when I bought my first knife. It is the A2 BA. Talk about a solid blade, it is a little tank of a knife. It is also one of the most comfortable handles of the lot. My most recent purchase was the NO and I think it is probably my new favorite. The "Flagship" of the group is most likely the NASA model SH in the center. The picture really does not do that blade justice, it is a beast.

Well, my spirits are lifted for now, but I still have to get over the fact that I can't make it to Blade and I have been reduced to being a lowly cat sitter. The worst part is, since I have to work all weekend, I can't hang out with any of my friends. Mark, Johnny, Jack or Jim.

I think some of Hogs might also be friends with these guys; Maker's Mark, Johnny Walker, Jack Daniels, and that Ol'Southern gentleman Mr. Jim Beam. I am sure that they will surely make an appearance at Blade.

I still need a Mistress to "Round" out my collection. Hopefully she will be making an appearance soon.

14 knives in 3 months, does your wife know about this or do you only take 'em out when she's away?

Lucky most of them show up when she is not around. She can't tell the difference between a Busse and a kitchen knife, so I can always tell her that I have had them for awhile. She is never the wiser.:D ;)
