Beckerheads and fellow Tribesman,

As we approach tomorrow, Memorial Day, we should prepare our hearts to think of those - and their families - who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country, our freedoms and our way of life.

We all enjoy a day off; and who does not like BBQs, cold beer, social/family gatherings and the typical accouterments of Memorial Day?

But please take some time to remember the meaning of Memorial Day.

I agree SALTY. I have battle buddies who have passed, some who are still overseas and family members who gave their lives during the Vietnam era. I am certain that we all have family members, or know those that do, who have given the ultimate sacrifice, so let's please not forget those that gave.

To my Family and Friends who Raised there Right hand and agreed to offer up there life if need be. Some stayed on the field of battle. Most came home but they are still fighting the war that rages in there memory. Memorial Day is your day. Never give up and never surrender to the horrors you have witnessed. You do not have to fight alone We are Brothers and Sisters and we Stand together.

Memorial Day in my East Tennessee Neighborhood seems to be observed with more attention than other places I have lived and seeing this has made me think more about Memorial Day than I used to......

Remembrance is, I think, the very least we owe those who gave their all to preserve the greatest engine for human good that has ever existed on this earth..... And we owe thanks to all who gave their time and risked their lives in this great endeavor....... This country is a place of great wonder and individual achievement and we can never repay those who safeguard our most incredible country.....Thank You to those who Died and Thank You to those wounded on our behalf and Thank You to those who have and, do serve...... My thoughts are with you.....

Ethan
