  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

I wanted to take a moment and thank all of our men and women in both active duty, reserves or veterns for their service. It is their service and patriotism to America that helps all of us to enjoy our freedom.

Do you all know that there are words to TAPS

Day is done,
gone the sun,
From the hills,
from the lake,
From the skies.
All is well,
safely rest,
God is nigh.

Go to sleep,
peaceful sleep,
May the soldier
or sailor,
God keep.
On the land
or the deep,
Safe in sleep.

Love, good night,
Must thou go,
When the day,
And the night
Need thee so?
All is well.
Speedeth all
To their rest.

Fades the light;
And afar
Goeth day,
And the stars
Shineth bright,
Fare thee well;
Day has gone,
Night is on.

Thanks and praise,
For our days,
'Neath the sun,
Neath the stars,
'Neath the sky,
As we go,
This we know,
God is nigh.

Key in TAPS on google. Some interesting reading. There are various verses. None official.

I have to say, Amen.

I agree also. I posted a post Fri or Sat. Maybe it was too early but we need to thank those who have protected us.

Thank you never seems like enough but I hope it helps. Thanks to the men and women who have, and those that still are, serving our country.
