Memorial Service?

I am posting this early because I have end of year personnel stuff to do all day today and tomorrow, and don't know when I will get back online. I'll check my email at work and at home nightly, and try and check back here tonight as well.

FYI, I wrote to Rusty Monday night offering my condolences to him personally, as I know how close he and Bill were, and asking him to please let us know if and when Memorial Service will be held for Uncle Bill.

I am so fortunate compared to some of you to be close enough to drive there, and really feel the need to attend such a service and pay my respects, as I'm sure many of you do as well.

I have not felt this degree of loss for a someone not in my immediate family ever that I can recall, and it would be great to be able to meet with others of like mind.

Not trying to drive anything or prematurely push anything at anyone, I just don't want to miss out on this if it happens because of missed communications. Thanks very much for posting to this thread if you hear anything.

Best Regards,

Norm

Norm,

I don't know either, and my thought is it will be OK and we'll still be here when you get back.

Either way.

The two threads of remembrances already going
are the best memorial -I- could ask for myself or anyone.

But if someone choses a time,
I'll want to be here.

I rather like the idea of simultanious flute playing across the globe, praying, different reverences, with my own being on a mountain top discharging the 41 mag.

A world-wide simultaneous celebration on the web might tickle his fancy. I'll fire a wad out of the wheel lock, fer sure.

??? Thanks Munk; I'm sure everything _will_ be OK, and I'm sure the Cantina will be here when I log on again. (Hey, it IS still here!) ;)

However that wasn't my point. I am simply going on record that I would like to attend a service if there is one, in person, and would like to hear of same.

Thanks,

Norm

I know that Norm, and I'm saying I believe that will still be possible for you when you return. As Rusty is not here, and Yangdu is busy also, there really isn't much more to say.

If nothing else, the simultanious expression of love and fun and memory would be something I'm in for.
I think Bill would like that too. I think musical instruments, out of and in key voices, singing, sayings, poetry, prose, prayer, meditation and various weapons discharge would be a good thing.

A world wide celebration in music all at the same time would be a real tribute to the wonderful man he is. Should we set a time say noon Reno time and do just that? Or even midnight Reno time.....I'll stay up. I can get word to the Kamis through Kazi so if we want to set something up, I'll get it going.

what ever is descided if fine I just hope it is clearly posted and done in time for everyone to read and be have time to get their part ready.
maybe a thread on it and then after each person can post what they did in their way to share with everyone else to get a feel to fully realize the power of this tribute.

I'll put a khukuri to some use, then have a beer and light a smoke ... 3 things our dear friend would approve of.

Hopefully Rusty will give us an update on the family soon... :(

Maybe we can all have a moment of silence at a particular day & time...

Remember Bill's life & work with incense, good wishes and prayers from our many faiths...

Followed by a full clip of ammo, fired in a safe direction. Or bell ringing, Buddhists like bells.

If it can be done within my schedule (I'll be working during Master's at the tournament), I'm in. Kurt?
