memorial weekend 2025

setting up a get-together for May 23-26 with some folks on another forum - any Beckerheads who want to show up are welcome to join in.
I'm and hour and change from both Ft Riley and KC (North of Topeka)
I've got some mostly flat land for tents, plenty of trees for hammocks, and LOTS of dogwood, honeysuckle, staghorn sumac, and brown juniper for making shelters.
there will be a firepit, there might be a propane forge and/or throwing stump.
There are coyotes (4-legged), so plenty of night music.

Unfortunately, I dont get done at school til May 30. Otherwise, it would be a good excuse to go the southern route to visit my son.

I may have to swing that way another time.

I am interested and only about 3 hours away. Not sure that I will be able to make it that weekend.

I'm keeping an eye on the weather - they're calling for a lot of storm chances at odd times friday, saturday, and saturday night.
I'm not against the following weekend as a backup plan.
unfortunately I already have plans for the weekend of the 6th
