memorial weekend campout...

some of ya'll who were here last year may remember the little "mini bowjam" some pals and i put together in april. have pals with a small farm not far from the city who have hosted numerous campouts for friends over the years.
well, we decided to do it memorial day weekend this year. gave us an extra day. but since the holiday is often held around family events, we had less folks than last year.
nevertheless a great time. camping, cooking at the fire, bow making, bow shooting , knife and hawk throwing...you get the idea.
so if you'd like to check it out...here we go.

of course, for some of us, the point of being out there was working on bows.

the mrs of the place is a better fisherer than her old man(but don't tell him i said so)
see pulled out a half dozen of these saturday from their small pond-good eating at the campfire that nite.

lovely place. id was a bit misty sat but overall a wonderful weekend. sure am grateful to have such good friends.

reckon this knife got used the most over the weekend, including cleaning those catfish. and it's the only knife shot i came home with....
ml kephart with osage scales. i love this knife.
