memorial weekend hikes

I was able to get out on Saturday and Monday for a couple day hikes. The weather got into the high 80's but there was a nice breeze.

This rock formation looks like a gorilla face, pretty cool

Yucca is in full bloom

Saw lots of cottontails, was hoping for a snake but no luck

Some little sparrows chased this jay away from their turf

My wife was whittling and decided to take a "pretty" pic of my knife

It was a great weekend

I am soooooo not looking forward to the triple digits! But they will be here soon too.

Memorial day was all rainy here. I did have a great day on Sunday, albeit it wasn't in the woods. I cleared my yard up of brush, then went swimming, and had a cookout. It wasn't too bad :thumbup:
