Hello.
I'm new to this forum. My question is what you guys prefer, the k55k or the douk douk?
I like them both. They each have their "advanteges".
So my question is why you prefer one over the other.

Regards
Morten

Owned both and kept the Douk Douk. The K55K is a great knife it just isn't as tight at the Douk Douk and never warmed up to the protruding lock tab. So inexpensive they should be in every knife nuts collection.

Own both. I prefer the douk douk.....but not by much. These are great knives for what they are and for the low dollars.

Thanks for quick reply. These knives are so similar, its hard to choose one over the other i think. I like the k55k, it looks like its more " knife" if you know what I mean. But its probably because I dont like etching on the blade. They are probably just as good. I like that the douk douk doesn't have a locking blade. By the way, do you know if there is a mercator that is smaller than the k55k?

The etching on mine is completely gone at this point, and I'd definitely go with the douk douk. The mercator didn't last long for me because the internal spacer that holds the spring for the lock is plastic and the blade kept hitting it when i'd close the knife. It still functions but it annoyed me and I like how solidly the douk locked so I stuck with that one.

But its probably because I dont like etching on the blade.

The etching rubs off.
